Due to the rising number of COVID cases, the provincial health authority announced increased safety measures and several public health orders early this afternoon. We realize that while the bans on social gatherings and indoor activities were not imposed on churches, we had to ask the question of whether or not we should gather live this Sunday morning, in light of the rising numbers.
We have made the difficult decision to suspend our live gatherings for the next two weeks, in line with the timeline that Dr. Bonnie Henry provided to the province today.
Our live gatherings have been wonderfully life giving for those who have been able to participate. People have found refreshment in being able to see each other in person, to hear each other sing, and to pray for our Coast Hills community, both those gathered and those beyond. For all of these reasons and more, we will miss this opportunity to gather for the next two weeks.
